Growing up in a small town in the east of the Netherlands taught me to think beyond normativity and embrace creativity in all its forms. This upbringing has nurtured and embodied my creativity, igniting a passion to delve into the realms of design and identity. As an artist, I’m drawn to the tension between equality and peculiarity, the physical and the abstract. This fascination drives me to contextualise the complex connections that shape our surroundings.

 

One of the main threads in my work is an exploration of material origins. This search often delves deep into the realms of self-discovery, forming the foundation for visualising structures and experimenting across a diverse spectrum of mediums. My creative process weaves together material research, poetry, film, and the written word. By combining these tools with close observation,

I am captivated by the dance between opposites, experimenting to find what lies at the core. My work moves through past, present, and future, using visual art and design as a way to ask questions, to unearth challenges, and to create narratives that are both imaginative and purposeful. In my universe, everything intertwines seamlessly, allowing me to follow my curiosity freely.
